Book Review 2005

The shortlist was decided by pupil reading groups at Admiral Lord Nelson, City of Portsmouth Girl 's, King Richard, Priory, Miltoncross, St Edmund's and Springfield Schools . Many thanks to them. They read 58 books and whittled them down to just six. The winner will be decided in July by pupil judges from the ten Portsmouth Secondary schools.

The Portsmouth Book Award is organised by the Portsmouth Library Service working in conjunction with Portsmouth Secondary Schools. The 134 pupil judges are drawn from the following schools: Admiral Lord Nelson School ; City of Portsmouth Boys ' School; City of Portsmouth Girls ' School; King Richard School ; Mayfield School ; Miltoncross School ; Priory School ; St Edmund's School; St Luke's School; Springfield School . In addition to his pupils from St John's College will shadow the Award.
