Equal Opportunities Policy (Pupil Version) PDF Print E-mail
EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY(PUPIL VERSION) Everyone at Springfield knows that all individuals are different and have different needs. Everyone should be treated fairly in every way.

The whole Springfield community takes responsibility for this.

What happens in the classroom should ....

.... encourage respect for everyone
.... help everybody to have the best opportunity to learn
.... include work which is suitable for everybody
.... encourage fair views of people and their way of life

Everyone's behaviour should mean that ....

.... we treat each other fairly and with respect
.... we think before we speak or act in order to avoid hurting
anyone
.... everyone is accepted as an individual
.... any complaint will be taken seriously, be listened to
sympathetically and be dealt with fairly

The organisation of the school should mean that ....

.... everyone knows about our Equal Opportunities Policy
.... everyone should support each other in what this policy is
trying to achieve
.... all parents should know what is happening at school
.... we keep a record of all incidents of racism
.... everyone involved in running the school will regularly
consider Equal Opportunities issues.
