The Future of AI in Portsmouth

As Told by the Girls Who Will Shape It

On Thursday, 04 June 2026 and recorded as part of Ai Awareness Day, some of our students took part in a special podcast which brought together girls from across 'Portsmouth: The Digital City' to explore how artificial intelligence is already shaping their lives and how they, in turn, will shape its future.

Together, they reflect on what it means for Portsmouth to be a digital city, the opportunities and challenges AI presents, and why it is so important that girls are represented in designing the technologies of tomorrow. Honest, thoughtful and inspiring, their voices highlight the importance of fairness, creativity and inclusion in the future of AI.

This episode is a powerful reminder that young people are not just users of technology, they are already becoming its creators, innovators and leaders.
