Edufuturists Uprising 2026

As reported in our March newsletter we were extremely proud to have been shortlisted for an Edufuturists Uprising Award 2026.  The category we were shortlisted for was 'Secondary School of the Year'.  

The awards celebrate the people and organisations pushing education, skills and the future of work forward and we were thrilled to be included.  As a nominee for Secondary School of the Year, we have been recognised for our innovative approach to learning and student engagement and for shaping the future by preparing students for a world beyond the classroom.

The awards event took place in Liverpool on 25 June.  Unfortunately, on this occasion, we did not win.  Congratulations go to St Colman's College in Newry who won this category.  

Edufuturists is a global community dedicated to celebrating and connecting the people shaping the future of education, co-founded by Ben Whitaker and Steve Hope. Through its podcast (300+ episodes, listened to in 120+ countries), newsletter, roadshow events, and the annual Uprising awards, Edufuturists champions the educators, leaders and innovators driving positive change in learning.
