Year 9 Get Creative at Pallant House Gallery!

Our Year 9 art students recently enjoyed an incredibly inspiring trip to the Pallant House Gallery, diving deep into the vibrant world of 'Pop Art' and the 'Figure'. The students proved to be excellent ambassadors for the school, critically analysing and sketching thought-provoking artworks that tackle powerful themes like war, feminism, and celebrity culture. After exploring the exhibitions, they headed into the studio workshop to channel their inspiration, crafting brilliant mixed-media collages and experimenting with dynamic mono-printing techniques.

The artistic journey doesn't stop here, though. Over the next few weeks, Year 9 will be collaborating with an exciting visiting artist to push their printing skills even further, while turning their creative focus toward the gallery's stunning new exhibition on landscapes. A huge thank you to the staff at Pallant House Gallery for hosting these fantastic workshops and giving our pupils such a memorable, hands-on experience. We can't wait to see their final masterpieces unfold!
