Year 10 Hampshire Cup Final Journey

On Thursday, 30 April, our Year 10 boys' football team played at Stoneham Lane Football Complex in the Hampshire Cup Final. It was a great occasion and represented the culmination of months of hard work, resilience and dedication. 

The boys started the match with fantastic energy, creating chances of their own and minimising the opposition's attack with some great defending. However, despite their promising start, it simply wasn't to be on the day. The opposition managed to capitalise on their opportunities, and the boys eventually faced a 3-0 defeat. 

While the result was not the one the boys hoped for, the efforts shown by all was nothing short of exceptional. Every player on the pitch worked incredibly hard showing commitment and dedication till the final whistle.

Making it to a Hampshire Cup Final is, in itself, an incredible achievement.  It is a testament to the talent and togetherness within the group, and everyone involved should be proud of what they have achieved this season. Looking ahead, we are eagerly awaiting their return next year. The squad has one final year to chase a goal they have been striving for since Year 7— to lift the Hampshire Cup!
