Oaklands Sixth Form Experience

On 3 June, a group of Year 10 students enjoyed the chance to experience the Sixth Form at Oaklands Catholic Sixth Form College. They were able to try out four A Level subjects, see the site in a tour led by current students and relax in the common room with doughnuts and pizza. Mr Godwin, Head of Sixth Form, gave an informative talk about the Sixth Form experience there. Pupils were impressed by the very small class sizes and by the strong track record Oaklands has with medicine and Oxbridge places, as well as other students progressing to other universities and work/apprenticeships.

Oaklands is a small Sixth Form and is selective, with minimum GCSE requirements. It is an option to consider for those who wish to opt for A Levels and prefer a quieter environment.
